Our objective is to contribute to improved national and organisational capacities for informed policy decision-making and the use of evidence culture through comprehensive policy research and technical advisory services and enhance capacity for monitoring, evaluation, and innovation. Additionally, we aim to help in managing grants, disseminate research findings, and support effective policy implementation and innovations.

The Capacity for Policy Research, Monitoring, Evaluation and Innovation (CAPEV) Consulting Limited is a small business, private non-political company registered in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, under the Companies Ordinance (Cap 212) of Tanzania (Registration Number 182146641).

PEVU is a Kiswahili word that means "mature," "ripe," or "advanced". It signifies something that has reached a state of full development, readiness, or sophistication. The company seeks to develop advanced policy research, analysis, monitoring, and evaluation skills and provide demand-driven technical advisory services for policy design, implementation, assessment, evaluations, M&EL services, and innovation.

Vision and Mission

CAPEV’s vision is to become a leading block builder of a strong culture of evidence-informed, skills-driven, and results-driven action in policy design, development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and innovation within the public, private, and third-sector domains.

Its mission is to promote the development and institutionalisation of evidence-based decision-making and data utilization culture, skills, and results-driven development paradigms and popularize modern and advanced policy research, analysis, learning, monitoring, evaluation, and innovation systems.

The management of CAPEV Consulting Limited is composed of the following bodies:

1️⃣ Board of Directors (BD): The BD is the policy-making body responsible for running and managing the company. It comprises the Chairperson, Managing Director, Company Secretary, and three other board members. It meets twice a year.
2️⃣ Secretariat: Led by the Managing Director, the Secretariat serves as the company's administrative body and is responsible for the day-to-day management of its activities. Its headquarters are in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The Secretariat's primary role is to manage the company, coordinate the execution of its programmes, projects, and associated activities, and prepare and present reports to the Board of Directors and other key stakeholders.
